Pre arrival Orientation for Immigrants in Canada: CIIP Offered by COSTI

The Canadian Immigrant and Integration Program CIIP is a free pre-departure orientation service offered to Federal Skilled Workers, Provincial Nominees, and their spouses or adult depents during the final stages of the immigration process. This program prepare newcomers for Canada's economic integration before they even step into its borders by providing an one-day orientation workshop, individual planning sessions with an Orientation Officer, and access to online counseling services from Canada.

As Ontario's designated settlement partner for CIIP, COSTI receives referrals from various CIIP offices located in India, China, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom serving a total of twenty-five countries. COSTI provides information on various topics like housing, Ontario's school system, workers' rights, credential evaluation, and other essential aspects of settlement to newcomers residing abroad.

In conjunction with The Association of Canadian Community Colleges ACCC, we offer online settlement counseling, as well as referrals to other settlement and employment services avlable in Ontario. This service ensures that immigrants receive the necessary guidance to make a smooth transition into Canada's diverse society upon arrival.

COSTI works closely with Canadian advisors who provide online support through this program. Such guidance ds newcomers in connecting with employment, settlement, and language resources during their pre-arrival period abroad. Eligibility Criteria:

Federal Skilled Workers, Provincial Nominees, and their spouses or adult depents residing in countries of origin are eligible for this program.
