The New itarian Program
Launched by the Government of Canada, this itarian pathway provide permanent residency status to 11,000 foreign nationals from Colombia, Hti, or Venezuela who have family ties in Canada. Eligibility requirements include:
Being a national of Colombia, Hti, or Venezuela
Residing in Central or South America, the Caribbean region, or Mexico with no intention of being present in the United States and Canada
Having at least one year of residency outside of Quebec as well as residing in Central or South America, the Caribbean region, or Mexico.
Being sponsored by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who signs a declaration of support for up to one year.

The EMPP integrates refugee resettlement with economic immigration processes by:
Allowing skilled refugees to immigrate through existing economic programs
Offering employers access to a pool of qualified candidates for job openings
Eligibility requirements include holding documents like:
a Refugee Status Determination issued by the UNHCR or from the state hosting them, and proof of registration as a person of concern with UNHCR.
b A refugee certificate issued by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East UNRWA.
c Temporary Protection Status Document issued by their current state's government if there is no prospect of establishing a durable solution.
Or meeting criteria that suggest they are likely to be classified as either a convention refugee or member of the country of asylum class, and having at least one year of work experience in any field with basicintermediate English or French language proficiency.

This program facilitates sponsorship of refugees and individuals facing refugee-like situations in Canada:
The sponsored refugee must be residing outside Canada
The individual should fulfill one of Canada's classes for defining refugees as per the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Demonstrate absence of a durable solution
